What are peoples thoughts on

Post by Strollby »

The Police raid by twenty officers complete with tasers into a Quakers Meeting House in Westminster in London. Six females taken away in regard for questioning when they, the young Friends, were discussing Garza and also the 'Stop oil Movement. What is happening to free speech, I wonder. Labour has a history of dissent, and yet they are bringing laws into place which are used to stifle free speech and debate.
A secondary thought would they have been as quick to raid a mosque?

Yeah, there was a fuss at the time – back in March. They'll be proscribing the Quakers.

MPs have just voted to proscribe Palestine Action. They were lumped together with two other supposed terrorist organisations: a group called The Maniac Murder Cult, which plotted to have someone dressed in a Santa costume hand out poison to murder kids in New York, and a white supremacist movement called The Russian Imperial Movement, which has carried out armed attacks. Splash a bit of paint on a plane and you're as dangerous as them.

Spoiler!
Just imagine if there was an arms manufacturer near where you live. You also know that they are assisting the Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people. Along comes a protest group, and they spray paint on the offices, making it into an unsightly eyesore. Unable to abide such lawbreaking, you cry, "Hear, hear!" when you see it on the news that the protesters are not only being prosecuted; their organisation is being proscribed. It doesn't matter how often you're reminded about the people being slaughtered on an industrial scale. "F**k 'em!", you exclaim.

Shameful. We all know what terrorism is and being a vandal isn't.
