Kings speech

Post by Monica »

Any thoughts on the King's speech in the US yesterday. I'm wondering if Trump got to hear the Kings real message about his shenanigans recently or if it totally passed over his head

I thought it was a well planned speech.

Totally agree. Well planned, diplomatic and a strong message to Trump

Were the frequent standing ovations by his audience genuine?

I am sure that Trump was listening, but not actually listening if you know what I mean.

It has come to something when a King has to remind a so called Republic and Democracy about what actually matters.

Probably. I didn't see it, but they usually go out of their way with adulation for Benjamin Netanyahu, too. I don't know if it was comparable to the fawning on his visits, but it all says a few things.

When King Charles visited Arlington Cemetery, did anyone noticed the Union Jack being flown behind him was upside down? I wonder what the American response would have been had the Stars and Stripes suffered the same distress signal? Would a multi million dollar law suit have been issued?
