Just started reading Conclave, Robert Harris's novel I'm struggling to get my head around the titles they use in the catholic church (even though I'm a former member). It's well-written though so I'll stick with it

The above was excellent (and harrowing), and it'll probably be nominated for all sorts of awards.

Bridget Jones - waste of two hours. Don't know why I bothered.

Husband watched the one about Bob Dylan cos he wouldn't contemplate coming in to see Bridget Jones. I wish I hadn't bothered either. Bob Dylan one called A Complete Unknown. He enjoyed it, especially the music in the surround sound.

Finally got to see Adolescence tonight, it was excellent! I'd heard so much about it already but Stephen Graham is usually worth watching. It was eye-opening showing what goes on behind the scenes in these types of situations. Great viewing!

This was a great binge-worthy prequel series. Although it did help to have seen all the rest.

Then coming soon, Dexter Resurrection.

Just finished the book Conclave and thought it very good, especially the way it ended. What a shock!

As far as I can see, it is on Amazon and not available on Netflix. It's one of those alternative-history-inspired stories where things turned out differently after WW2, then fast-forward to the future and the consequences. Another one that I tried like that was For All Mankind, which I couldn't really get into due to my scepticism about the moon landings.

I was never into Star Wars. I felt as though I was too grown up to watch it at the time, but I was told that the series (2 seasons) of Andor was good. It's a prequel to Rogue One, which in turn is a prequel to the first Star Wars movie. It was good, so I watched those, then the original trilogy, went back to watch the first three 'episode' trilogy (films) then onto the last trilogy. Done, all crossed off the watch list. Suspension of disbelief was essential, but I managed.

I had to check to see if there was a new series, but you mean Ragdoll 2021. I'd almost forgotten about that one.

I watched the last episodes of Squid Game last night. What a show that was. I think it was in season 1 (of 3) that I gave up with the English dubbed soundtrack and reverted to the translated Korean subtitles. The only trouble was the length of time between seasons, and you're racking your brain to remember what's what and who is who.

That series was a bit to tense for me, I think I only watched the one. Mind you I've just started watching The Last of Us 2 and I think I'm going to have a heart attack.

There were a lot of complaints about season 2 of The Last of Us, to do with the lesbian bits. I think the complaints were a bit OTT, and it wasn't spoilt too much. Unlike the gay arc in season one, which was a bit off-putting. It is annoying how they have to shoehorn these things in.

I didn't know until lately about the Netflix Bernays connection. A cofounder of Netflix was Marc Randolph, who is a grandson of Edward Bernays, famed for public relations and propaganda. He was responsible for brainwashing women to take up smoking (torches of freedom), and he was a nephew of Sigmund Freud. You can probably guess the religion.
