It's actually the Brook! The small stream that runs alongside Rivvy Rd School, enters a culvert in the Queens Recs and runs under the Brook (now Asda's) finally entering the canal jut below the Hotties.Link to Photo

This is an Alite machine which dispensed Beecham's Powders
My father invented the see saw mechanism to increase production allowing one girl to wrap while the other girl received powder.I serviced these as an apprentice in the year of the photo
