A good win for Saints in a mistake-strewn game but just a thought.

Wouldn't it be great for the game's growth, if maybe not the attendance on the day, if the final was between Hull KR and Catalans!

@HORT why do you actually watch Rugby league,.....is it so you can tell others what the officials have got wrong (in your opinion) or do you actually get any other sort of enjoyment out of it?

If the ball is forward by the passer in relation to the passers field position at the moment of the pass then its forward

Correct and the best judge of that is three highly trained professionals just yards away on the field of play. Not HORT watching on his telly

Eric Clay would never have allowed a pass if it even smelt forward

He was a bit before my time but was referenced in Ray French's 'My Kind of Rugby' in a cup game vs Hull KR. Sounded like a self-righteous old-school jerk to me. For what's it's worth I thought both tries were fine yesterday and so did the officials.

Fine apart from forward passes. Many people go not know or undestand a forward pass or that its a penalty not a scrum. Only a scrum if its accidentally forward.

I know the rules very well.

Do I have to explain this again? A forward pass is judged on the person in possession. If the player is a Saint it is not a forward pass. If the player is not a Saint it is a forward pass. If the player is a pie eater it is a deliberate forward pass and the law about being binned should be applied.

Sorry to see Saints lose last night but now looking forward to Pies v Hull KR in a couple of hours. If Hull win you'll hear my cheers from Cumbria all the way to St Helens
