The Camp, Warrington Road, Rainhill

Hello again,

I wonder if anyone knows anything about a location once found on Warrington Road (Rainhill) in 1871 known as The Camp?

Warrington Road went up to number 207, then from 207-222 there was The Camp, then is Holt Lane from 223 onward.

My ancestors, The Blacks, lived at number 221, So I'm guessing this camp was partially where The Holt pub is now? That was built in 1888.

Pemberton Court is still there now only its a sort of alleyway between what used to be a pub and some alms houses at the very start of Scotchbarn Lane called something Terrace, it'll come to me.

The land was later used to build an elderly care home and alms houses funded by a Liverpool Mariner name of William Part if I remember correctly
