LANCASTER

Recommended Posts

Hi

I was wondering if anyone would know how to find burial records for my great grandparents James Lancaster 1876-1961 and Ann Lancaster nee Cosgrove 1877-1951 they lived in Parr their whole lives and Fleet Lane in Parr for 40 or so years before they died in 1951.  I have tried the St. Helens Cemetery website and Lancashire Parish records but can't find them anywhere.  Anyone got any ideas?  Many Thanks.

I don’t think James was Catholic but Ann may have been because her family came from Ireland so it is a possibility they could be separated as she died 10 years earlier.  How would I be able to check the records at Parr Mount Holy Trinity?

There is a burial for James Lancaster, aged 86years, at St Peter, Parr on 11th December 1961.  The grave was purchased by Mr. Bloor of 115 Flat Lane according to the transcription.

Others in the grave were:

Eliza Bloor, 30th December 1940: 5 months.

Mary Bloor, 7th January 1942: 42 years

Anne Lancaster, 2nd February 1973: 3 years
