kizzy Posted April 7 Share Posted April 7 Yes, I recall hearing the same at that time - thankfully I had probably grown out of the paddling pool by then and had moved onto Boundary Rd. baths. Bert Posted April 8 Share Posted April 8 My uncle Charlie made me a sailing boat for Christmas. I was disappointed to discover the keel was longer than the depth of the paddling pool. Later the pool was a testing strip for boats I made powered by jetex. Old men who sat round the pool were well impressed. What happened to the rowing boats on the lake? Are people still allowed to swim in it? I spent many an afternoon swimming across the lake or sunning on the grass.
