My God, you brought some memories back there Jeff. The Stork pub was my local when we lived in Billinge from 1967 to 1971. The pic of the Ruskin Drive cricket score-board building took me right back to the early 1950s when I was the Recs team score-keeper

Great stuff, Jeff. Those 1940s - early 1960s photos are the only St Helens that I recognise as I effectively left the town after Uni in 1963 to work in Penketh and then in 1967 moved to live in Billinge and then became a Cumbrian in 1971

The ironmongers building in the third photo still has the same format of frontage today as the Rendezvouz Bar that is now on the same footprint.

What is the name of the street that it's in? I can vaguely remember it but cannot recall the street where it is
