On the other hand though, it might've been the lower end of Brook Street after the college was built across it.

No, I think that must be wrong because of the position of the top of Beechams clock tower.

@wobblybobYes, it would have been the end of the convent wall.

@king kennyI just checked and we don't appear to have any of Clyde Street. I remember it well though because a mate of mine lived down there. It was very run down because everybody was moving out for the demolition. Everybody keep an eye out for Clyde Street.

I remember Clyde St. can't find any pics though.

The closest we've got for Clyde Street are the backs of some of the houses on the brook photos on #37

I' used to go in that offy in Morley Street to buy cans. Back int' days when it was more acceptable to have a piss-up with your mates on the street.

Blaylocks in napier st was a childrens clothes shop.Blaylocks had a chippie in town as did besrs psw.Both had seating areas.

The pic shows it.There was another chippie on corner of lewis and napier st.Also one just round corner.

The pic showing blaylocks shows corner butchers shop.Dont know what the one in between was.

Alan,weve been all round those streets.Lost count of number of corner shops,chippies,barbers etc etc.

All bit the dust.PROGRESS THEY CALLED IT?
