Phoebe
Does anyone of more senior years remember Bessie Lane from 42 Pocket Nook Street? She lived there from around 1907 until her death in 1942. She was married to Thomas Lane at Holy Cross in 1907. Thomas was born in St.Helens and lost his life in France in 1918. He was a driver in the Field Artillery. Phoebe
I think most people around Pocket Nook knew Bessie as Bessie Bonnon. Bonnon was her maiden name. She lived with her first husband and family in Widnes. After her marriage to Thomas Lane she moved to St.Helens.
