i had a file with all slr ww1 soldiers and numbers  which i've lost after my computer crashed,anyone help me out.

Could you try a previous restore point? don't ask me how though. Silly question but didn't you have any backup files?

What do you mean by 'crashed'? If the disk is still ok, it could be possible to retrieve data.

sorry mate, i email my files to myself and save in a email folder but unfortunately i'd missed that one out.

Then you should be able to restore - 

Recovery options in Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

Try restoring from a system restore point (at the bottom)
