Had another look today. The water level is about 12 inches down from normal.

Still loads of rubbish at bottom of overflow.

And they are cleaning all the algae from the top of the overflow.

1976 was the lowest I’ve seen the dam, that’s when the island became part of the surrounding banking due to the silt deposits from the black brook

Work is still going on. Anyone know what they doing to the steps from the old overflow?

That looks like concrete shuttering. Are they reinforcing the steps Stephen?

I do not know.

But they are reinforcing the bridge over the old overflow.

A line of buoys has been places across the dam. Anyone know what they are for?

HORT Ive heard from a very very reliable source that the bouys have been placed to divide the fishing rights.Little fishies on the bank side are to be only fished by thise who voted Brexit.The other side is anyone else..

Sorted HORT, found out  esrlier as overhead  a few nearby residents saying on bus as they got off at Carr Mill.Thats a loada Pollocks over there.Well i could be mistaken as couldnt hear prop as wearing masks like us.
