non sibi sed omnibus 765 #1 Posted January 9 (edited) Doing our family tree we have miners, clock repairers etc coming up right across years like many at the time. However after recognising family glass workers nearer to today we find in1720s a relative classed as glassworker of sutton. Is this at the time a cottage or similar industry? Maybe a double glazing salesman early years person!!-eeh, Edited January 9 by non sibi sed omnibus (see edit history)

FRANK 277 #4 Posted January 9 According to Theo Barker's book, in the early years of the 18th century there was a glass house in St Helens, which was Leaf's works, situated in the 'Thatto- Heath/Ravenhead area of Sutton'.
