Wardleworths, a St Helens retail treasure

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Wardleworth's bookshop in Westfield Street is an absolute retail treasure. Not only do they have a massive range of titles, the staff are the bees knees in terms of knowledge and helpfulness, whether that be face to face, or in my case on Monday over the phone. Robbob had sparked my interest when he showed a picture of The Life and Times of a Peasley Cross Boy book. I phoned Wardleworhs, they still had a copy in stock, took payment over the phone and the book was here next day. If I still lived in St Helens I'd be in there every week
