Prescot Cemetery burial register

Hello All,

I know that Ned has been working on plotting the graves in St Mary's churchyard, but I was wondering if anyone knows how to go about accessing the burial register for the adjoining Prescot Cemetery? I have several ancestors buried there - buried in the 1920s, 1930s and 1960s - and I would like to copy the relevant pages from the burial register to add to my family history research file. I know where the ancestors are buried in the cemetery, but I would like details like the date of burial and section/grave numbers.

I have just telephoned Huyton Library and was told that they don't have the burial registers on microfilm. Does anyone know where these registers are held - if indeed they exist at all?

Many thanks in advance for any help you are able to offer.

Best wishes,

Rob

Not noticed this until now, new layout be damned, hope I've not missed you.

Try this, only a few listed yet though

If not

Knowsley Bereavement Services retains records of all burials, graves and memorials currently within the borough’s cemeteries.

If you are carrying out a genealogy study or require information covering a large period of time a charge may be made.

Not sure if this is correct but try emailing to
