"Old Jingler" Carrs cottage.

We always thought that someone from our family lived in the "Cottage in the Carrs", ( on one census referred to as the Round House). There are photos of this cottage in various publications about Prescot. Someone recently kindly sent us a copy of a post card of this cottage with a man and two ladies outside. We know that our relation, Richard Leadbetter, lived there in 1901 and 1911. Our mother called him "Old Jingler".

Does anyone have any information about him or have heard of anyone called Old JIngler?

His second wife, Ellen, died of burns following an accident filling an oil lamp, (Liverpool Post 1914).

Jean and Jacqueline.
