Those that are still living are now at Lowe st health centre. For info. Before then they moved sideways into a small new block opp the betting shop. They had one of their surgery door windows there as a keepsake. The old surgery became Osborne Chemists then empty to now become a firework shop of sorts. The place they moved into became an ADDICTION centre that was moved with other addiction centres to Lincoln House. The surgery that became Addiction they moved to is up for sale. They also had surgery in Junction lane that is now closing and being merged with their patients at Lowe House centre.

Here's some info. from the new practice site.

"The practice was established by Dr O’Donovan’s Grandad, Dr Fox at 6 Baldwin Street, St Helens in 1889 with a branch surgery at 77 Armsbridge Road, Sutton.

Dr Dennis O’Donovan joined the Practice in 1920 and the Practice moved to 51 Ormskirk Street, St Helens in 1941.

He was in partnership with Dr Caffey and Dr Burrill. Dr Gerard O’Donovan joined in 1963 and was joined soon after by

Dr Mather, Dr Filletti became a member of the practice in 1984. In 1992 the surgery moved to the premises of

the doctors in Ormskirk st 1950s was doctor O'Donovan dr coffee and dr burrill. it was next to a monument masons (didn't say much for the doctors) with a display of headstones outside and next to that was the scala picture house which lennon's turned into a supermarket.

in the 1960s the doctors were dr Donovan jr, dr burrill, and dr mather.

I believe the practice as originally started by dr foxon who was my doctor in the 1940s.

our doctors was in ormskirk st in the 40's onward but past blaylocks the drs names were gratton o' keefe, dr shinnock. these are the two that come to mind. not to certain but dr o'neill seems to come to mind they also had a surgery in park rd fingerpost

The surgery on Park Road was owned by my grandfather, George Webster who lived at Park House, 1 Park Road. He was also a coal merchant and owned a number of streets in the area including one he named O'Keefe Road after either Dr Gratton or his father. I was born in 1952 and lived the first two years of my life in Park House and was named after Dr Gratton.
