Hi, I am looking for information on George Kay born around 1808 who is my 3 x Great Grandfather.

So far I have found out that he married Martha Topping (1803 - 1876) in Rainford on 27 June 1831. His profession is given as Hairdresser.

George and Martha appear on the 1841 census in Peasley Cross. His profession is given as Publican, age 33.

I think he dies in 1845 (but it could be 1847) and Martha remarries in 1849 (Mark Helsby) and 1851 they are living in the Griffin Inn, Peasley Cross.

The information I am seeking is:-

The place and date of birth of George Kay, his baptism, his parents names and if he had any siblings. I would also be interested as to how he died as he was only in his late 30s.

Many thanks.
