Her father was Derick Smith born 19 April 1927 St Helens, Lancashireregistered Prescot (vol 8b, p1333)died 20 May 2009 Wigan Hospital, Wigan, Lancashire was the youngest in a family of thirteen and his eldest brother may have been named Williamthe family may have lived on Park Rd, Parr, St Helens.his father who was a miner at Clock Face Colliery, Sutton, St Helens died of a heart attack,possibly at work, later the same year he was born (1927). his mother's maiden name was McDowell. Vol 8b page 1231 1911 Census : 181 Park Road, St Helens Henry Smith Head 32 Coal Hewer Miner Ada Smith wife 28 married 9 Years.
