Sure does, John. But the Dye House stretch was never polluted ever since the tomato growing stopped. :)

As a very young child I remember the brook running along the edge of Browns field with nice sloping grassy banks before they put the pipe in and covered it.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but, does anybody here remember there being a 'pill box' or gun emplacement anywhere near the end of Manchester Rd junction with Warrington Road?
