Martha Swift

Recommended Posts

Hi

I am trying to find information on Martha Swift (my great grandmother) and her family. In the 1901 Census she and her brothers Thomas and Peter were inmates of the Prescot Union Workhouse and Nurses Home. I am trying to find out why they were there and where they went from there. Martha was born about 1898, Peter about 1893 in St Helens and Thomas about 1896.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I live in Australia so my searching can only be done electronically.

Regards

Lesley
