It doesn't really matter where it's gone to. Who goes into a shop to buy insurance these days?

Youve sadly missed the point DAVE! Its not what you said its that THE BUSINESS HAS GONE TO WARRINGTON. Why couldnt they have shut the Warrington shop and moved to St.Helens. Your attitude is like many people WHY BEING THE OPERATIVE WORD.  Join all the lazy bu**ers. Then in a few years youll respond to people with those well used inretro WELL YOU SHOULD HAVE USED IT!

Still sick of tel with all those chosing 20 selections to suddenly find somewhere along the line you used the wrong one and start all over again.

or Your in a 20 person tel queue to see a gp or make an important call.

Well get back to your  4000000 "friends" or to MARIOKART just twiddling till you get those infinite lives as you sit on your commode or microwave at your bedside.

We can always make life easier for ourselves ?

Happy New Year (TYPED BY MY ROBOT TYPIST!) Why type yourself! See DAVE anyone can be a lazy bu**ger?

You mean like the Lucky Strike where OD's is?

If so i used to go in there around 1980/81 ish but could never get on the Pac-Man and Space Invader games due to the gangs of older bigger lads.

I heard at the time that Purple Aki used to go in there. Supposedly the rumour was some lad was on the Packman game, hand on the joystick when Aki put his hand over the lad's hand and took control.

Re Running Horses, found this on Google, but not really sure how to put the document on, so hope it works, or if anyone is interested Google.

[PDF]a portfolio of 14 public houses for sale and to let - the CBRE portal

portal.cbre.eu/portal/page/portal/uk-en/imgs_styles/pdf/jdw.pdf

Jun 24, 2017 - CBRE & Savills have been jointly instructed by JD Wetherspoon plc to market 14 public houses that have been identified for disposal throughout the ... The Running. Horses occupies a central prominent position on Chalon Way West within a Cinewold anchored leisure scheme in St Helen's town centre.

Oh it looks like I did put the document on, hope it works for anyone interested.

It's all a game of musical chairs, move from one place to another, then move on again, it's pathetic, and the council wants to spend, sorry, waste more money on some stupidly expensive revamp. There was a council in another part of the country who granted permission for a new retail park, however, they put a clause in the planning that existing large businesses on other sites will not be permitted to move onto the new one, seems a sound idea to me. Or perhaps this one would be better, it would certainly save money, lets totally flatten the Hardshaw Centre, and both the shopping arcades and create a giant open market with stalls, like we had many years ago. Then there'll be no problem with moving will there? The pound shops et all can move every week if they want, just set up on a different stall.and given the number of shops we have, it wouldn't too big so there'd be plenty of parking spaces.

Robbob,so ITS NOT NEW?Its just another damn move from one part to another. But when the current space comes VACANT.How pleasing to see an EMPTY space to draw you into the Hardshaw centre where Poundworld usedvto be.. Come then and workmout whole just be moving around  as well. Maybe the newsagency?

The unit where Poundworld is vacating had a planning application submitted to change the use to include cafe usage. Tim Hortons (Canadian coffee house) is actively looking for several sites within the town, so potentially a brand new business may locate in that vacant unit.

On a different note, some positive news that the restaurant group who owns Chiquittos is still ‘considering’ which restaurant brand to locate on the new Linkway West development. Plus they have now started pile driving the foundations for the bowling alley, long overdue start onthat site. I have been in direct contact with the developers and they stated that occupiers had previously left because they need it to be commercially viable for them as developers (I translate that to be they are charging too much in rent).

Robbob, you may want to take some pics of St.Helens Retail Park, where Dunelm is. I think work will start at some point this year to refurbish this site. New car park layout, Aldi relocating and expanding, B&M expanding, relocation of Poundworld and Jollies (to potentially include cafe and vets) and creation of two new small units. Full plan can be found at: https://www.cspretail.com/properties/st-helens-retail-park/

Went up to the electricians in Boundary road but it was sht down. Don't know how long it's been closed I haven't been there for a couple of years. Shame because the lads in there were really helpful. They'd start off by saying - look you should get an electrician to do this but if you're determined to do it yourself then you need this, this and this and don't forget to do this.

Its been closed for some time.

Not that it helps. We used it. They bsdically appear to have had illness so it began sbutting most of time.

Then we heard of family  death. Then it was up for sale then TO LET. its apparently empty but there are still  concrete crash barriers!

No other info.

Dig. sometime ago it seemed to be closed regularly. Then was going into station and noticed door open.

Robbob had taken a foto prev of shop when people asked about shop. As you say it seems to open irregularly.

can only suggest you try their phone.Or wait outside until it opens? Ive  never seen any note on door aswell.Maybe its a case of opening on and off.

Just in case your looking for bits and pieces,VOSTDR DIY fingerpost now shut and family have put it on market.

Wonder how long PRESVOTTS will survive?
