Houses with larders. We had one in 1950s No fridges then.

Yeah we had a Larder too Hort, although we used to call it a Pantry, it was years before we had a Fridge, we managed fine with keeping Milk, Butter etc. cold back then didn't we?

Outside toilets,froze up in winter,squares of newspaper for loo roll.

We lived near a gas lampost.Great when the salvation army came round.Then people used to follow them back to their place in ramford st.

There were a few sets as you say but never knew any of the lads,girls in them.We used to play stonies in the alley running back of ramford st.Thats were i sold mystonies  got from pilks gerrards bridge dump
