Hello Jeff

I'm descended from Martha Case (daughter of Peter Case and Alice Lythgoe) born March 1877. Martha married James Arthur Thompson in 1897. Their eldest son was Arthur Thompson born 1898 - he was my grandfather.

Thank you for the additional information. I've now added details for another generation to my Case family.

Strangely enough - Martha Case and James Arthur Thompson had a daughter who they named Annie. She married a guy surnamed LYON!

Annie and Walter LYON had a son Ronald - he and his wife had 2 daughers, one named Mary Rose and the other named Anne after her grandmother - so yet another ANNE LYON!

Hi Jeff,

I'm your dad's cousin, although I don't remember him well, I do however remember Claire, Winnie and Margery. Your grandmother, was my aunty Clara, I'm the daughter of her sister Jane Daniels and it was actually for you I was researching this line, I was going to send it to your mum, so I'm glad to see your 'on it'.

By the way wasn't your dad known as Derek?

Sylvia

You will find records for some RC churches and others at The Gamble, History and Archives room at St Helens Library near the town hall. The parish records are on microfilm and some transcribed into books by the history society, also on CD here http://www.sthelenstownshipsfhs.org.uk/

In the local history link at the top banner on this site you will find some churches list which records are available at The Gamble. Lowe House records are definitely there depends on which dates you're interested in, some are not very clear and some are missing.

There are some other records on this site also of course, using the menus at the top banner under Genealogy
