    Saints Old Halfbacks

Looked on Saints heritage website and first combination was right but could only find mention of Dickinson and no mention of Tayfield as a Saints player http://www.saints.org.uk/saints.org.uk/home/viewpage.php?page_id=272

    Rejig super league 2019

Are we talking about the early 1900's. Saints relegated in one season, promoted next season and should have been relegated again next season but two divisions merged into one and saved Saints. A lot longer ago than 1980 eh Joe

Doesn't appear to be many people in pub so its either very early in the day to be pi$$ed out shape or its after the place has shut.

A grovelling apology from Tomkins. https://www.wigantoday.net/sport/rugby-league/wigan-warriors/tomkins-exclusive-i-m-deeply-ashamed-1-9194218 Unfortunately the video is the most watched video in New Zealand and has made front page news everywhere. Its a shame that rugby league only appears to make front page news for all the wrong reasons. He's not only brought Wigan into disrepute but Super League as well, still, I expect him to play in Derby match if thats more than 4 weeks away

    Wane resigns at wigan.

Be interesting to see how Wigan rugby club as a seperate entity are treated by the new owners.Although they have a long term rental agreement for the ground would it still have to honoured by any new owners?

I'm currently using Firefox browser and am having trouble printing the info. When I do print preview not all the results are shown and hence are not printed. Is this a fault with using Firefox or just a fault? Should I try I.E.?

  18. My gggrandmother was Mary Gullivan who married William Garner on 20/05/1872. She was 16 and he was 19 (From marriage cert) In 1861 Mary (6) is with her mother Sussanah Gullivan, brothers Paul (14)(Born in France),and Cornelius (3) born St.Helens By searching on the GRO site I found Cannon to be a common possibility for Sussanahs maiden name. I found a marriage between Sussana Cannon and Peter Gullivan on 16/071855 (Peter was name of father on Mary's marriage cert) In 1871 however I have Sussanah with daughter Mary(15), son Cornelius(13) and a Cornelius Canning a brother of Sussanah. And in 1891,among others I have, William Garner(head),Mary Garner(Wife) Cornelius Gullivan (Brother in law) age 33 and Cornelius Canning(Uncle) age 59. I am almost certain I have traced the correct family (despite various spelling of Sussanah and Gullivan) but am somewhat confused as to the two possible surnames for Sussanah. Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted. Or am I missing something glaringly obvious?

    GG Grandmothers family name?

Have the marriage cert between William Garner and Mary Gullivan and one of the witnesses is an Elizabeth Canning. Just read through the above thread on GenesReunited and came across a link to a thread on this site. Posted by yours truly. Must have been struggling for past 4 years with this.

    GG Grandmothers family name?

    Eldon Row.

I have a birth certificate for my great grandfather who was born in 1873 in Eldon Row (no number given). Anyone any idea where this was.The obvious area is around Eldon Street or even a row of houses in Eldon Street, but I cant find on the maps on this site.

The person in question was George Littler (b.14/02/1873) Just realised my dad, Norman Glover, was born at 90,Eldon Street.George Littler was his dad so Eldon Row way have been a row of houses in Eldon Street.

  24. <_< In the 1901 census I found some off my relations living at 135 Croppers hill. Does anyone know where Croppers hill would have started and ended. I thought Croppers hill was the stretch of one way road between Boundary Road and the traffic lights at the junction of Eccleston street. But the other day I noticed a sign on the buildings near the lights that said that the road was Prescot road. If so when did id become Prescot Road.
