The funeral of Mr William Gamble (74) of 49 South John Street took place on Saturday at St Helens Cemetery being proceeded by a service in Holy Trinity Church the vicar (the Rev R Campbell) officiating. The organist Mr H Jones played Psalm 23 "The Lord As My Shepherd" and the hymns "Abide with Me" and "Peace Perfect Peace".
