  1. I remember the day the statue was put there as I was a pupil at St.Mary's convent , It must have been in the early 1950's.

    Doctors Burrows, Ellis and White.

I think the lady doctor was Dr Roy who later moved to the Lingholme Health Centre.

    Doctors Burrows, Ellis and White.

Before Dr.White it was Dr McNeally (not sure about the spelling) he was our family doctor from the early 50's. There was also Dr Thompson.
  4. I believe it was a house party in a tent in a back garden in Dunscroft Sutton, complete with DJ.

    'Empty' Space

Houses no 12 -20 are still standing. No 12 is the first house after the Hare and Hounds public house.

    Pennington Gardens, Prescot

The last house before Pennington Gardens was number 20, a little shop selling sweets and tobacco belonging to Mrs Edwards. I lived at number 12 next door to The Hare & Hounds (Tommy Halls), so the cottage numbers must have been 22 onwards,I think they must have been demolished in the mid 1950's.

Pills and potions from years ago

I remember my gran giving us Brimstone and Treacle on a Friday night which she always had ready mixed in a large jar, I suppose it was to clear us out over the weekend. We also had Radio Malt which came in a large brown jar and tasted rather nice. Does anyone remember Haliborange Tablets?

    Town Ground

Just remembered seeing Dustin Gee there, he did an impersonation of Cilla Black and looked and sounded just like her, I think he died in the mid 1980's. He had a TV show with Les Dennis.
