  12. we used to walk over it from merton bank going to play down the flashes ! you could get anywhere in st Helens walking along the line !! if we went the other way changing tracks we ended up at the bottom of crank hill

  14. notice in a lot of 60s 70s pictures of St Helens you can still see the cimics or is it kimics ? when did they get rid of them !! the ones on jackson street were massive but I never noticed them going (although I had moved to Runcorn by then I guess ) They should have been preserved like the pyramids as a piece of history !! The mucky mountains are still there along the sankey 😉
