Thank you so much for that information Tony! It will help me research local newspaper articles on the opening. Lots of detail in the article. The parish will be 100 years old in 2025 and I am pulling together information about the Parish. A new church was built and opened 1965. very grateful CON

The foundation stone was laid by Bishop Dobson on 12th Sept 1926. Does anyone know when the RC Church was completed and opened? It was never Consecrated but a previous report on this group mentioned a photo of an Archbishop outside the Church. Does anyone have a copy of this photo and any information please? Maybe these dates might help. Archbishop Keating died 7/2/1928 and Bishop Downey was made Archbishop of Liverpool in August 1928.
