  1. Hi There I have just joined the site today, with regard to Woodcocks and sons. I was an apprentice Moulder there from 1968-1972 I remember the company had a high turnover of people due to the working conditions and the pay was not great either but I was tied to the company for the duration of my apprenticeship, The MD was Jack Woodcock a magistrate , his brother Dick was the technical guy ( I had a lot of respect for him) and John woodcock was the bean counter who later went on to own a stationary shop near Shaw street station .If my memory is correct the company closed its doors during the later part of 1972.
