RMS Lusitania was a British ocean liner that was sunk on 7 May 1915 by a German U-boat 11 miles off the southern coast of Ireland, killing 1,198 passengers and crew. In addition, 767 survived. There is a memorial to one of those who died, on a gravestone in Windleshaw Chantry. This is shown below. I wondered if anyone knows if any other St Helens people were on board and if they perished or survived? h ocean liner that was sunk on 7 May 1915 by a German U-boat 11 miles off the southern coast of Ireland, killing 1,198 passengers and crew.
