It was a great place to visit when I was about 11 or 12 and into bird watching. A huge expanse of peat land that was less than an hour's cycle ride away. Ponds full of frogs and newts etc and many species of birds. Does it still exist as a sort of nature reserve or has it all been developed for housing etc?

I thonk it was filled in with waste, but not sure.
