Isn't nature wonderful!

A pair of swallows are nesting in one of my sheds. When I looked out of the bathroom window at 4am today they were constantly in and out after flying around the area for insects for their nestlings. They'll still be doing that as it goes dark at 10.45pm tonight. If I venture too close to the shed they fly around me twittering until I back away

My Jehovah Witnesses neighbours tried to convince me how wonderful God's creation is until I pointed out that some children in Africa, at this very moment, are having their eyes eaten by worms. Watching nature can be a pleasure. Mrs Bert is one of the few people I know who is not fascinated by the Attenborough programmes. She reckons if the animals are not eating each other they're shagging.

I have loads of sparrows in my garden. I have about twenty nests and they keep returning. It is so noisy that if feels like I have a colony. Driving me insane.
