I was delighted to see the rain last night, my garden has turned into a desert these past weeks. Hoping for some more so I can try to save newly bought plants. Apparently, it's been the dryest sunniest Spring for years

Staying on the climate topic, here in N Cumbria it's been the worst year I've ever experienced for midges. My arms are covered in red itchy sores

Pleased to hear the weather has been fine in the UK, not because you'll all be benefiting from the vitamin D, no, selfishly I'm calculating the cash my solar panels back home are generating. Temps here 29°C. Time to turn over.

Turned quite unpleasant for a while earlier with gales accompanying the rain. Dried up a while this afternoon to allow me to do a bit of weeding. The first couple of inches of soil are quite damp but bone-dry and hard as concrete below that
