WILLIAM COBBETT

Post by Strollby »

Has anyone read Cottage Economy. read it 60 years ago and found it again whilst idly enjoying skimming Gutenberg Project. Contains advice as relevant today about credit and morals etc. Simple advice which many persons in society would benefit from reading.
Sent the tele off down the charity shop and re-discovering the pleasure of the written word. Anyone found a book with a message which has resonated within their inner self, or is that a foolish question.

I'm an avid reader but I'd never heard of that. Most of my reading at the moment is current unbiased political stuff like Rory Stewarts memories from when he represented local Cumbrians (Penrith and the Borders) or when he was mooching across parts of Asia
