There seems to be a lot of aggression aimed at members such as myself lately, even acts of mindless violence are being proposed against people, these same people rather hypocritically claim that my own use of bad language prevents decent people from coming here, I think people would be put off more by the threat of having their face smashed in than a few choice words.
maybe i'm wrong, maybe some members really would rather just have a scrap to sort things out, its a sorry state of affairs though and i believe anyone threatening actual physical violence should be banned.
Has connect gone downhill or is it as bad as its always been, should aggressive threats of violence mean a ban? or is it ok to threaten violence as long as its me thats being threatened?

Its just killing me off, I'm melting away....my latest invention is having this big fan with its back to my open freezer door and sitting there as long as it takes to drop my temperature.
As soon as I move my temp rockets. If we have a few weeks like this next year, I'm off to a colder climate...To be frank I hate heat, I sleep on my bed in my birthday suit with no sheets even in winter, I must have been an Eskimo in a previous life. I'm off back to Russia next year, its great when you can pick icicles from your nose.

| Anyone wrote to Dave Watts as well as me? |
About 6 years ago I wrote to Dave Watts about a matter that affected everyone with an occupational pension.
The letter outlined some unpleasant implications of a Pensions Act going through Parliament.
The reply was a pleasant version of f*** o** we legislate, who do you think you are.
When I replied and told him I was a Trustee of Pilkington Supperanuation Scheme and most of the members would lose funeral grants to their dependants when they died, and I would expose in the national press, and I was former member of the Labour Party and new some influential people, the Government changed its mind and allowed death benefits for those who had already retired, but not not for those who still work. I have a letter to confirm this from DW.
I can give more details if anyone is interested.
Now moving to another topic, I rcently wrote to DW asking how anyone could vote for Labour again when the last election manifesto promises had been broken again and again.
His reply, in writing, is that things have changed since the manifesto was written!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Should I expose the letter to the press? Should I show that the Labour party do not mean what they say or should I keep quiet?

| As a Member I just received this email |
I was also sickened by this evil that some people get a kick out of.
Dear Supporter
I've had to take dead birds to the vets many times before, but this time I had a real sinking feeling. Minutes after handing over the limp corpse I was staring at an X-ray, which confirmed my worst fears.
I could see 11 pieces of gunshot in what had been a magnificent, female peregrine. She had been slaughtered – most probably on her nest. The inscribed metal ring on her leg gave a tiny insight into her life. She hatched seven years ago in Shropshire and, at the time of her death, was in her prime. Quite probably, she had chicks that depended on her and will now starve.
I felt sick and disgusted. How can people stoop so low?
2009 has been a terrible year for cowardly crimes against birds of prey, including eagles and peregrines.
With your help, we can stop this illegal killing.

I work in the RSPB's Investigations team and this has been one of the worst years I can remember.
In the last few weeks, barely a day has gone by without us getting a call about peregrine persecution and other crimes against birds of prey. It's shocking that in the 21st century, these fabulous birds are still routinely shot, trapped and poisoned.
Only a few days ago, one of my colleagues in Scotland went to investigate a dead golden eagle found in Argyll. The police suspect that it was illegally poisoned, using a bait with a very toxic chemical.
I'm desperate for the peregrine and golden eagle deaths not to be mere grisly statistics.
With your support, we can demonstrate to government that we will not tolerate these crimes and put an end to them.
