I went to Robins Lane Seniors, 1955, Miss Lancaster was head, she was soooo strict, I remember Miss Green ,needlework, miss Taylor, took us for cookery, Mrs Eden, Mrs Bate, Miss Sheard later became Mrs Fitzpatrick, and last but not least my favorite lovely Miss Ashton. Acouple of those teachers mentioned were very strict, but the worst one was Miss Cole,my friend refused to go to school because of her ,in the end my friends Mum took her out and sent her to Central Modern.

Also remember Miss Lancaster, Miss Cole (holy terror!), Miss Beaumont and Mrs Fitzsimmons who was lovely. Can't remember the name of the sewing teacher who told me I'd never get a husband, lol!

I attended Robins Lane from 1959 to 1964, remember R.R.Tunstall, Maths, he was a very good teacher, had a good way of making maths interesting.
Mr. Carr deputy head taught English, John Bowles Tech Drawing. John Harrison was art, he also had in his classroom a model railway, O gauge, he made most of the buildings ang rolling stock himself, nice guy. Albert Greenall taught R.I. and geography.
