sad to say I have very few happy memories of my time st Lowe House
school, the standard of education was truly appalling &; I couldn't wait toleave.
Some schoolmates I remember with affection; John Rigby, Keith Jones, Geoff Gavin, Harry Anders, Alan Henthorn, Tommy Bebbington Billy Calvally Walter Dixon
Ged, Marsh 'Titch' Ashby &; there my memory fails me.
The nicest teacher I can recall is Mr, Mc Nulty, also ok was Miss Flood later to become Mrs Palmer, also Mr Palmer &; Mr Worsley.

theones that Ireally disliked was Mr Mather who was a bully, and the worst of the lot was John Giblin who as headmaster was responsible for this establishment that wouldn't have been out of place in a Dickensian novel.

I went there for my first year of school aged 5. I was so upset about having to go to school on the first day, my Mum sent for someone to collect me from Stanhope Street where we lived. Sister Patricia came and I threw my shoes across the street and slapped her face in a temper tantrum.

I don`t remember any names but I do remember getting into trouble a lot!

Amazed that the amusement arcade is still there after 40 odd years!

I was at Lowe House from 60-65. Loved every minute of it!
I remember Sister Mary of the Angels and Sister Veronica and Miss Tipping,
amongst many other great teachers and also Mr. Dennett, who was so kind to me,
when I broke my thermos flask, which I took to school one day on a First Friday.
