Her sisters were Edie, Elsie, Nellie, Julia and brothers were James (Jimmy) and Harold - possibly another brother George (?).
I know that Edie was married twice and had about sixteen children, some surnamed Walker and some surnamed Tucker. They all lived around Knowsley Road area.
Julia married, had a son called Harold and died some time soon afterwards.
Lily and her husband Arthur Thompson, formally adopted Harold (who was my father), brought him up as their own, and also had another son called Arthur.
Nellie had a 2 daughters called Elsie and Dolly. Elsie moved to Prestatyn with her husband and Nellie eventually went to live with them around the 1960's. Dolly married Norman Ball, who had butcher's shops in St.Helens and had two sons Ronnie and Brian.
Elsie married and had children, one married a Mr Ashall and they owned Ashall's garage in City Road. Elsie lived in Hamblett Crescent, Haresfinch in the early/mid 60's.
Jimmy married and remained in Harris Street, with his wife and two daughters Joyce and Marjorie and a son (can't remember his name).
I remember Harold and his family living in Vista Road, Haydock in the late 50's and I think his son, Harry now lives in Scotland somewhere north of Inverness.
If anyone on here knows any of these people, I would be grateful for any news at all - as I haven't had contact with any of them for a over 35 years. Thank you.
I would especially like to contact Edie Parr's granddaughter Beryl, daughter of Lena Tucker. Beryl may have a photograph of my grandmother when we were at her wedding around 1958 (somewhere in Blackbrook I think). Beryl would be around 65 or 70 years old now. I do not have any photographs at all of my grandmother and cannot think of anyone else who may have one - it's a bit of a long-shot I know, but worth a try.
Ollie
(I would be known to the family as Lilian Thompson)
