But I worked there for 13 years and was never aware of anywhere on site that made bulbs. I was just wondering whether it had been part of the company at one time but then disappeared

I was interested to find out that it isn't part of the BI cos I am analysing the 1911 census to see how many people worked there (Prescot people, that is). I can now exclude the Globe people

Thanks for that - I'm still analysing the Houghton/Kemble/Beaconsfield Street area, so haven't come across Moss Street yet.
There were about 8,400 people in Prescot in 1911 and I have completed about a third of them, so lots more interesting stories to come.
