Why do they insist on surrounding us with crap, surely there are many places between here and anywhere else where nobody will be affected by these sites, I just dont understand it. These people who vote yes for them should be made to live along side them, its only fair

I well remember growing up near the old open tip at the end of Preston Avenue (as will JVY). That was land-fill the new site will,at least, be enclosed.

I think all landfill sites should be well away from housing, the one we had here in Rainford smelled to high heaven in the summer months, the trucks would drive past you in Old Lane with an horrible stench, dead bodies comes to mind.

The one in Haydock was the same in summer, made you gag and the flies, you had to keep your windows shut (mother in law lives there)

I bet all the members at Prescot & Huyton Golf Club will be made up in the summer when that smell drifts across the M57, fancy paying about 2 Thousand pounds for membership there and having to put up with that......... Oh I know I bet they drop the cost of the Membership,!!!!! NOT.

If you can ignore the blatant crapola from the Lib Dem newsletter (Not that Labours is any better mind)

Anyone who wants to protest against the proposed waste site can print sign and send this form, apparently its not a done deal and the company would not want to build were there is no cooperation from their neighbours.
