About six or seven years ago I put photos of George Morley and family on a web site devoted to local families and have now forgotten the name of the site.

Can anyone help - It also has Wainwrights, Paper Shop and the local URC Church etc.

The link you need is definitely the one that Phyll has posted above - I've seen the photos that you put on there of George, Margaret and the children.

I have a connection to George and his family - and may have met you on a couple of occasions :).

Yes thank you Phyll very much that is the correct link - my mind is going a bit fossilized lately - can't be due to age can it?

As another person has posted George is very ill at the moment. Yes he has cancer and we are worrying as he seems to be loosing the fight.

Your prayers are always welcome as he has been a good friend to many people in this area and around the 'globe'. Lots of fond memories of a lovely man.

He has been a great help to me and we have had a wonderful friendship for the last nine and half years.

Such a shame - my brother (Tommo) and eldest son (Ste) were devastated when they heard about his illness. Over the years, they've shared lots of fishing trips and holidays with him - my brother was married to one of George's daughters.

Yes I know Tommo well he helped me to decorate my house when I moved to Kitchener St 25 years ago. George's wife put me in touch with him as he was her son in law then.

Tommo, Gary (George's grandson) and Stephen (Tommo's cousin) all used to go on fishing trips and week long holidays in Ireland with George.

Yes it is still Wainwrights and run by their son Rob. Both his parents are still there but are suffering ill health themselves at this time. I go there each morning for my paper.

George Morley has been reunited with his loving wife Margaret and parents.

God saw you getting tired, and put his arms around you and whispered "Come with Me". Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay. A loving heart stopped beating, the day you went away.

Sadly missed by his best friends Margaret and Megan

I am sorry to say to any of his many friends that George Morley passed away on Friday 3rd February and was cremated on Friday the 10th.

Everyone's love for this amazing friendly man was shown when more than 400 mourners packed into the Crematorium and all shared their love for him and his friendship and help over the years.

George rest in peace your suffering has ended. Make lots of new friends and old up there.

Hi Olden Days, Sorry about your friend George Morley. RIP
At least the photos will live on, for his family to enjoy.
