militaryrecords.ie has just been released by the Irish government. I don't know if it will help much as most Irish who fought for the UK in both World Wars used assumed names as they didn't want it known that they fought for the English. A lot are buried here in unmarked graves although there is a huge push on for families to come forward with names so that this can be rectified and headstones erected in memory. A lot has already been done towards this and new headstones are going up marking the names and service of these soldiers. It's worth looking at this site though as there might just be the bit of information on there which will knock down a wall.
