Had completely forgotten about those, Nanny Ogg - lol.

But of course, we always had them. Never even think about them nowadays. I suppose it just became more difficult to get both with their berries on. Where we lived up to five years ago, we had lots of Holly bushes, but not a one with berries on ................. and mistletoe (being a parasite) has always never been easy to find anyway, that's why it was always so expensive.

Maybe if I went for 'the traditional woodland look' with my christmas decorations theme, I would make more of an effort to find them.

Not seen mistletoe for sale anywhere for ages,remember it being around a lot in the sixties,always at parties.

we have 2 holly trees in our garden in New Zealand - really great - I've moved the branches so they form an entrance archway to the side of the house (discourages uinwelcome visitors) BUT they get berries in June/July which is not really much use in December

remember the house we used to live in years ago
we only had one socket in the house which was half way
up the wall.no extension leads in those days ,just multi sockets
we had multi plugs in multi plugs at christmas time
