does anyone know where Beasley St was about 1880. I cant find it on old maps.

I couldn't find Beasley St but I googled it and came up with this. Looking further in to it it looks like it could be around Peasley Cross somewhere.

Many old records were hand written and sometimes the writer put down what they thought the street names were.

I suspect it was actually Peasley Street.

thats a good tip about misspelling you find a lot of similar mistakes on old BMD certificates. I'll have another look on old maps.

As far as I'm aware there wasn't a Beasley or Peasley St in St Helens.
I think it may be Peasley Cross Road but who knows :dunno:

Go to the very top of the forum and point to Genealogy> Census Indexes, you should be able to search for address on a few of those.

thanks LE200 but on my Grandmothers birth certificate it is shown as Beasley st Sutton, bot of a mystery this.

Try searching the 1881 census in the Genealogy section and see what address it gives there...
