Getting back to knots guys in our rigging crew use Bowline,figure of eight,sheepshank,sheetbend,on a daily basis.

I want equal opportunities on this thread. I was in Girl Guides for years :) learned huge amounts of useless things like how to lay a trail using stones and grass, and tie knots (well, that was useful eventually), and most importantly how to hold up three fingers in a salute :lol: THREE I said, folks.

Quite right Nanny,Girl guides was the main reason i joined the scouts, but you sure made a mess of the marching tempo on church parades, lol

Bated breath, Skyman, BATED. The other spelling makes the mind boggle. Posted Image though a lot of what I read on here makes my mind boggle. And if you want me to believe that you were watching our arms when we went to Church Parade you're not like any of the other scouts I came across.

@ Nanny,like phyll indicated my breath was baited, you didnt become that guide leader with the large woggle did you.it wasnt just the arms that i noticed,when i watched the girls go in to PRAY ,I always examined my PREY from head to toe,i thank you for doing your good deed and keeping my topic alive,may i wish you and yours A HAPPY NEW YEAR,,,,

St Helens gang show this week thursday friday and saturday go enjoy and relieve your memories although they do allow girls these days, I married mt scout leader Akela
