I had a few hours to kill this afternoon so headed off to Martin Mere...

QUAAAAACK!!!!!

I was lying full length in the goose poo for most of these to get that low angle lol!

Fantastic photos. My sister & brother in law go there every week to take photos of the ducks.

Great photos Oy,what is that in the mouth of the Hooded Merganser is it a cone of a fir tree.

Yes I think so. I watched it for a good 20min tossing it about and having a good chew. Mergansers are fish eaters so it must have thought it;d caught right tough bit o'kipper LOL!
