I heard it was based on one of the owner's family died from heroin poisoning and they took an aversion against the poppy which is where the herion is scourced. Not surprising if its true.
The poppy is not a symbol of glorifying the heroin trade it is a symbol to remember th war dead did none of the owners family die in the war i know some of mine did

Did anybody read the links that I put up?

According to those, it wasn't the new 99p shop on Church Street. Looks like somebody was starting malicious rumours against the new shop ..................

It was Poundland in Lisburn, N Ireland who banned staff wearing poppies - an over-zealous shop manager who was insisting on a strict uniform only dress code. Poundland gave instructions for the code to be relaxed to allow the wearing of poppies after this came to light.

Typical Chinese whispers story. As I said right from the outset, malicious rubbish. Posted Image

Just goes to show a business can be ruined before it gets going by malicious gossip.

if we went into detail of most product s, we would be in a realy sad state, there wouldnt be many things that we would eat or drink .
we would be walking around in leaves, and bare footed,we wouldnt watch most sporting events due to slave labour of children, making the items needed for these sports, according to many people animals should be allowed to roam free not end up on a plate, unless someone can breed a type of animal that you can take i slice of meat from its back then send it out to play untill you feel abit peckish,i dont know the answer but im just going to have a pork chop and to hell with bergandy......
