Don't know much about the incident, except what I've read on the Net.
Assuming it is true, don't think it matters what language they speak,
the word that he supposedly used is a universal one, (begins with N).
Looks like Suarez is no angel either, from past reports.
Hopefully the truth will come out in the end.
Oh sorry, you did get a reply, didn't see it before I posted.
Yes I read that Stephen, but to some that could be viewed
as the equivalent of the N word.
Negro
It is similar to the use of the word "nigga" in urban communities in the United States. For example, one might say to a friend, "Negro ¿Como andas? (literally "Hey, black one, how are you doing?"). In this case, the diminutive negrito is used, as a term of endearment meaning "pal", "buddy" or "friend". Negrito has come to be used to refer to a person of any ethnicity or color, and also can have a sentimental or romantic connotation similar to "sweetheart," or "dear" in English (in the Philippines, negrito was used for a local dark-skinned short person, living in the Negros islands among other places).

i was at the game and suarez gave evra an absolute roasting all afternoon, turning him inside out every time he was one on one with him, i just think that it is a little too much of a coincidence that evra has accused so many people of racially abusing him even a crowd in africa. we all remember the famous incident at stamford bridge when he accused a chelsea groundsman of racism just after he had been taken apart on the pitch yet again.............read this article and then decide for your self if suarez was being racist!!

but as it points out and as I said earlier, not all people understand
that it is not the same in certain cultures, therefore when you are
speaking or playing with so many diverse cultures, you have to watch
what you are saying if you don't want to offend certain cultures.
